FAQ – Aneurin Advisory (Trinidad)

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before you begin. If you have a question that is not covered here, reach out and we will answer it directly.

What exactly do you do?

We build fully operational cross-border online businesses for entrepreneurs in Trinidad and Tobago. Businesses that can sell locally, to U.S. customers, and on Amazon, all from the same structure.

This covers the complete buildout: legal registration in Trinidad and the U.S., business banking, payment processing, a professionally built ecommerce website, Amazon preparation, branding, and logistics. Everything needed to operate across markets from day one.

You bring the business idea. We deliver an income-ready business, built properly from the start.

Who is this for?

This is for motivated entrepreneurs in Trinidad and Tobago who want to run a cross-border online business, selling locally, to U.S. customers, and on Amazon, while earning in USD from a properly structured operation.

You do not need a technical background or prior business experience. What you do need is a clear product or service direction and the commitment to follow through.

This is not for people looking for coaching, a course, or a template. It is for people who want their business built and handed over ready to operate across markets.

What do I need before we start?

The most important thing you bring is what you want to sell and, if applicable, your product source. For example, you may have already sourced products from the U.S., China, or a local supplier and now need the professional infrastructure built around it. That is exactly what we do.

You will also need:

  • Two valid government-issued IDs
  • Proof of address (a utility bill works)
  • A computerized birth certificate
  • A credit or debit card for payments
  • A laptop for managing your business after launch
How does the process work?

You choose your business idea and product or service direction. We build everything around it: legal structure, branding, website, payments, logistics, and Amazon preparation. You review and approve key decisions along the way.

You do not need technical knowledge to use the system once it is live. We train you before handover so you are confident running it from day one.

How much of my time does this require?

Very little during the build. You provide your documents, business details, and approvals at key stages. We handle the rest. Most clients find the process straightforward and well guided.

The real commitment comes after launch, when you are running and growing your business.

What is the difference between the two packages?

Both packages are cross-border builds. The difference is the type of business you are running.

The Cross-Border Service Business is for coaches, consultants, freelancers, and anyone selling a skill or service. If your business earns through what you do rather than what you ship, this is the one.

The Cross-Border Ecommerce Business is for entrepreneurs selling physical products. It includes everything in the service package plus the product infrastructure: your online store, Amazon setup, and logistics configuration.

Not sure which fits your situation? The full breakdown of what is included can be found on our Pricing page, or you can reach out and we will point you in the right direction.

What are the benefits of running a cross-border online business from Trinidad?

A properly structured cross-border business gives you reach and earning power that a local-only setup simply cannot match:

  • Earn in USD from U.S. customers and on Amazon, not just locally in TTD
  • Access one of the largest consumer markets in the world from Trinidad
  • Operate under legitimate legal entities in both Trinidad and the U.S.
  • Build a business that suppliers, platforms, and partners take seriously
  • Scale without being limited by the size of the local market

Most entrepreneurs in Trinidad who want to earn online hit a ceiling quickly because their setup is local only. The cross-border structure removes that ceiling from the start.

How is this different from hiring a web designer or a registration service?

A web designer builds a website. A registration service files paperwork. Neither one connects your systems, opens your business banking, configures your payments, prepares your Amazon account, or ensures anything actually works together.

We build the entire operating infrastructure of your business as one integrated system. Everything is designed to function from day one, not pieced together over time from disconnected providers.

Why not just use DIY tools or AI software instead?

DIY platforms and AI tools can produce something fast. What they cannot do is register your legal entities, open a U.S. business bank account, configure compliant cross-border payment systems, or prepare an Amazon seller account. Those steps require real expertise and execution.

Speed is not the issue. Structure is. A business built on a weak foundation is far more expensive to fix later than to build correctly from the start.

Do you use AI to build these businesses?

No. Every business we build is custom built by a specialist team. We do not use AI-generated assets or generic business templates.

Branding, website structure, copy direction, and system configuration are all created specifically for your business. We take branding seriously because it directly affects how your business performs. Brand personality, typography, tone, and visual language are not decorative. They are the difference between a business that converts and one that does not.

What makes Aneurin Advisory different?

Most providers are specialists in one area. We build the complete operating infrastructure of a business and make sure everything works as a whole, not just individually.

We also operate Every Ingredient, a live gourmet ecommerce brand built and run from Trinidad on the same infrastructure we deliver to clients. That is not a case study. That is active proof that the system works.

Can you give me a real example of how this works?

Say you have sourced a product from a supplier, perhaps in the U.S., China, or locally. You have the product but no business structure around it.

We register your Trinidad and U.S. business entities, open your banking so you can receive USD, build your ecommerce website, prepare your Amazon account, set up your logistics, and brand the entire operation. You go from having a product to having a fully operational business.

You handle the sourcing. We build the business around it.
What are the limitations of this service?

We build the infrastructure. What happens after launch depends on your product quality, pricing, marketing effort, and consistency. We do not run your business for you post-launch, and we do not choose your niche or product for you.

Results will vary. What we do guarantee is that your foundation is built properly, so you are not held back by structural problems that most new businesses struggle with.

What do you recommend for success with this model?

Have a clear product or service direction before we begin. If you are selling physical products, have a supplier or source confirmed. Be responsive during the build process and engage fully during training.

The entrepreneurs who get the most from this are those who treat their business seriously from day one. The infrastructure is built for growth. Your effort determines how far it goes.

What if I already have some parts of my business started?

We work with what exists. If you already have branding, a domain, a registration step completed, or product photography, we integrate it. This can reduce vendor fees and timeline. The service fee remains the same.

How long does the full setup take?

Timelines vary based on the package scope and the responsiveness of third-party agencies such as banks and government departments. We will give you a clear estimate at onboarding and keep you updated throughout the process.

How does the payment structure work?

The complete fee is split into two payments: 50 percent to begin and 50 percent on completion of the full build. All initial fees are included.

Payments can be made by credit or debit card in USD or TTD. Bank transfer is also available. Currency is automatically converted at checkout and no USD bank account is required to pay.

How do I receive and access my USD earnings?

All payments from your online store go directly into your U.S. business bank account. You will have both a physical and virtual debit card, so you can spend your USD online, in store, or withdraw it as needed.

What ongoing costs should I expect after launch?

We do not charge any ongoing fees.

After launch, the only recurring costs are the standard operational expenses required to keep your business active, such as hosting, platform subscriptions, and annual registration renewals. These are paid directly to the service providers.

Every business we build is designed to run lean, with only the essential tools required to operate smoothly. No unnecessary subscriptions or hidden costs.

Do I own everything after the setup is complete?

Yes, completely. Every entity, account, platform, brand asset, and system is fully yours once the build is complete and final payment is received. We build it. You own it.

Can this business grow over time?

Yes. The infrastructure is built to scale with new products, higher order volumes, Amazon expansion, and additional marketing channels. You will not need a full rebuild to grow. The foundation supports it.

What about taxes? How does that work with a cross-border business?

Tax is the right question to ask, and we take it seriously. Cross-border businesses operate across two tax jurisdictions, and that requires proper setup from the beginning.

As part of your build, we put the correct legal and tax structure in place for both your Trinidad and U.S. entities. We also provide guidance, documentation, and reference materials to help you understand your obligations and stay compliant in both jurisdictions.

That said, we recommend that every client engage a freelance accountant who understands cross-border taxation for the long term. Not a full-time hire. Most clients only need them during tax season or when specific filing obligations arise. The cost is typically modest and the value is significant: they handle your annual filings, flag regulatory changes, and keep your business clean on both sides of the border.

This system is designed to be lean and operated comfortably by one person. A knowledgeable accountant working seasonally alongside you is what keeps a well-built cross-border business properly maintained over time. We can point you in the right direction when you are ready.

We build the infrastructure and put the right tax structure in place. A good accountant keeps it compliant long term. Both matter.
